Ultem PEI 2100-1000 is a 10% glass fiber reinforced amorphous polyetherimide (PEI) resin. It offers improved stiffness and strength over unfilled grades while retaining excellent thermal stability (Tg 217°C), inherent flame retardancy (UL94 V0 at 0.41 mm, 5VA at 1.9 mm), and outstanding dimensional stability. Ideal for structural components requiring high heat resistance and mechanical performance.

Overview
Ultem PEI 2100-1000 (SABIC Ultem 2100) is a 10% glass fiber reinforced polyetherimide resin. The addition of glass fiber significantly increases tensile strength, flexural modulus, and heat deflection temperature compared to unreinforced PEI. It maintains the inherent flame retardancy (UL94 V0 and 5VA listings) and excellent electrical insulation properties of the base polymer. The material is RoHS compliant and available in both natural (2100-1000) and black (2100-7301) colors. ISCC+ certified renewable bio-based solutions are also available for this grade.
