Overview
Ultem PEI 2300-1000 (SABIC Ultem 2300) is a 30% glass fiber reinforced polyetherimide resin. It provides exceptional tensile strength (175 MPa), flexural modulus (over 9,400 MPa), and heat deflection temperature (210°C). The material retains its mechanical properties up to 170°C (RTI). It is inherently flame retardant, achieving UL94 V0 at just 0.25 mm and 5VA at 1.2 mm – one of the thinnest V0 ratings available. The material is RoHS compliant, FAR 25.853 compliant, and available in natural (2300-1000) and black (2300-7301). ISCC+ certified bio‑based options are also available.
