Overview
Ultem PEI 4000-1100 (SABIC Ultem 4000) is a specially compounded polyetherimide resin containing glass fiber for strength, PTFE for lubricity, and graphite for wear resistance. This unique combination delivers outstanding tribological performance while retaining the inherent flame retardancy, high heat deflection temperature (212°C), and dimensional stability of PEI. The material is ideal for metal replacement in moving or sliding applications where lubrication is difficult or undesirable. It is RoHS compliant and available in natural (4000-1100) and black (4000-7402).
